Arrive by land or bring your boat to Bootlegger’s Cove Pub for a unique night out!

This wonderful little pub is a must-see while visiting the Bruce Peninsula. Perched above the blue waters of Big Tub Harbour, the Pub is an excellent vantage point to watch the boats go by.

The interior of this rustic pub is steeped in maritime history, transporting you back to a time when merchant sailors used the harbour as safe-haven aginst winter storms. Folklore abounds in the area with tales of illegal moonshine stills, bootlegging and lightkeepers mysteriously “lost at sea”.

After dinner, be sure to take a stroll to the historic Big Tub Lighthouse where you can watch the Chi-Cheemaun return as the sun sets on the water.

This intimate setting is ideal for musical performance, making Big Tub Harbour Resort a popular venue for musicians to return to each summer. Be sure to check out our house band “3 Men in the Tub” as they entertain audiences with an eclectic mix of music. You never know who will be sitting in with the band but you will surely be entertained.

Our menu is diverse and includes such favourites as…

  • Fresh salads and wraps
