Geocaching is an outdoor adventure game for people with GPS (Global Positioning System) receivers. Individuals and organizations position caches all over the world and then exchange information about the location of their caches on the Internet. GPS users can use the location coordinates to find the caches. A cache may contain a wide variety of rewards for the finder. All the visitor needs to remember is, if they take something from the cache, they should leave something for the next visitor.
As of August 2008, there are 28 caches within 28 miles of the resort. The closest is only a few hundred feet from your door! To see a map of the geocaches in the Tobermory area, visit the Geocaching.com Google map. Happy Geocaching!
